We are looking for a dedicated marketing consultant for the Hoover, Alabama market. We serve readers and visitors in Alabama's 6th-largest city through the Enjoy Hoover media brand, including a bi-monthly magazine, interactive website, social media channels, podcast, and specialty publications for our community.

Enjoy Hoover is a home-grown media company, operated by Hoover residents Matthew Allen, Mitzi Eaker, and David Cohen. They, along with several other Hoover-based team members, are completely invested in the Hoover community. Through Enjoy Hoover, we champion our community -- its businesses, its schools, its residents, and its neighborhoods.

Who is the ideal fit for this role? Maybe it's you! As our Enjoy Hoover marketing consultant, you'll hit the streets of Hoover, meeting business owners and community leaders, attending local community events, and building a network of advertising partners. This role is all about building relationships of trust, being a strong communicator, and having a love for the Hoover community and its many businesses and organizations.

Hoover covers a large area: Greystone, Inverness, Valleydale, Rocky Ridge, Trace Crossings, Bluff Park, Ross Bridge, Green Valley, Riverchase...and many other communities in between. You'll have the opportunity to call on businesses all across the city.

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for managing you own taxes and benefits. Compensation will be $450 per month, plus 15% commission on all sales (commissions will be paid on the 15th of the month, based on collections for the previous calendar month). You will work with the publisher to set and work toward monthly sales goals.
